Persepolis

I was watching Persepolis, the French animation, today and decided to draw an image from the DVD cover. Done in a B pencil, fine-liner pen and ProMarkers.

So, I got a new book on drawing manga. This was the first practice drawing in it. It is done in a HB pencil, ProMarkers and a fine-liner pen. Over the summer I'll be doing quite a lot of the exercises from the book.

Hiccup and Toothless - Digital

I did a drawing of Hiccup and Toothless for my little cousin's birthday, based on art by TsaoShin. I did it in pastels and ProMarkers and that one can be seen in a previous post... But I wasn't 100% happy with the result so I decided to colour it digitally on a software called GIMP.

This is a drawing I did based on artwork by KennedyxxJames on deviantArt. It is done in a black Biro and a HB pencil. It take just under half an hour.

Tootsie Royale

I was at a wedding yesterday and decided to draw the bride. Her friends call her Tootsie Royale, hence the title. I am trying to get better at drawing people over the summer. I am not going to post most of my drawings of people at the moment, but I kind of liked this one!

Other Mother

Digital Cheshire Cat

This is my second digital drawing, this time of the Cheshire Cat from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I uploaded my sketch (which can be seen in a previous post) into the GIMP programme and coloured it.

Digital Pluto

This is a drawing I did of Pluto in a programme called GIMP. I uploaded a sketch (which can be seen in a previous post) of Pluto. I went over it and coloured it. This is my first ever piece of digital art so I am fairly happy with the result.

This is another drawing I did from the Dreamworks' movie 'How To Train Your Dragon'. It is just done in a HB pencil and some colouring pencils. It is based on concept art from the movie.
